“conflict between”/”conflict over”/”conflict with”の違いを教えてください。

conflict は
名詞「闘争・対立 / 紛争 / 矛盾」
動詞「衝突する、矛盾する、対立する」
などを意味します。

conflict between :
– ”a conflict between A and B”で「AB間の対立」を意味します。
例）
a conflict between two countries「二国間での紛争・対立」

to conflict over~ / a conflict over~：
– 「〜を巡って対立する / 〜を巡る対立・衝突」
例）
a conflict over land and water resources「土地と水資源を巡る紛争」

to conflict with~ / in conflict with~：
– 「〜（人・国）との対立・衝突 / 〜と矛盾している・相反する」
例）
to conflict with others「他者と対立する」
in conflict with the evidence「証拠と矛盾している」

名詞も動詞（現在形）も同じ”conflict”という形なので、文法を理解して名詞か動詞か区別できるようにしましょう。
