center には名詞の「中心」以外にも、動詞の意味があると書いてありました。使い方を教えてください。

center には自動詞と他動詞があります。

自動詞「（話題などが）〜に集中する」「〜に重点を置く」
例）
”The story centers on 〜.”
（物語は〜を軸に展開していく。）

他動詞「〜を中心に置く」「〜を〜に集中させる （=focus on）」
例）
to center the image on the page
「画像を中心に置く」
“All efforts were centered on〜.”
（全ての努力は〜に注がれた。）

The talks were centered on environmental issues.
協議は環境問題の話題が中心だった。

There is a grand piano in the center of the room.
グランドピアノが部屋の真ん中に置いてある。

My office is located in the center of the city.
私のオフィスは、市の中心部にある。
